LEARNING TO BE RESILIENT

“And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.”

Galatians 6:9 (TLB)

One of the wise sayings that my grandmother used to say has stayed with me all of my life:
“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again.”

This is in a nutshell the attitude we need to have in life, when we get knocked down, knocked back and discouraged. We have to learn to be resilient.

I believe some people appear to be more resilient than others. They seem to  manage difficult circumstances in a more positive way. But I believe with God’s help we can all get up again. We can receive strength from the Lord to persevere until we achieve our goal.

Whatever it is in life that you want to do, remember, we cannot always find success easily after the first try.  It takes persistent effort, and a strong determination to keep trying. It is also important to have a resilient faith, to keep holding on to God and in time we will receive a blessing.

Be encouraged.
