In these difficult times we never know what can happen. We read the news about viruses, accidents, natural disasters, wars, economic collapse, gangs and criminal activity that preys on our communities. However, we can find comfort in the Word of God. God is all powerful, and He is our loving Father who able to provide protection in difficult times.

Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11 (NIV)

We need Gods protection every day. Let us pray for the protection of God to be spread over the lives of our family, friends and neighbours. It is also important for us to be grateful for the good things we have and not take life for granted. 

Let us thank God for His love and taking care of us in situations that we can see and those that are unseen. Sometimes disappointments happen for a reason, we may moan and complain when things go wrong, but we may not realise that missing a bus or train saved our life. Before leaving our home, may we remember to ask God to spread His protection over us.
